Holding fixture
A fixture that cradles an awkward part at the angle you need it, for gluing, soldering, painting or checking.

- Materials
- PLA or PETG, chosen from how hot, how wet and how rigid it needs to be
- Quantity

- Comes back with
- Dimensions, mass, material, wall count, infill, layer height, orientation, nozzle and lead time
- Made to your size
- fixture size, 20 to 250 mm
- Ready in
- 3 to 9 days
Lead times run from a day for something small to a fortnight for a batch, and the quote names the setting before the print happens. Nothing here is a part we stock: it is your part, printed once the drawing is agreed.
Printed soft-faced where it touches a finished surface, so it holds without marking.
How it goes
A fixture only has to be right where it touches the work. Everything else about it can be light, hollow and quick.
Getting the most out of it
- Say what the fixture touches. A polished surface gets a soft face; a raw casting does not need one.
- If it will see a heat gun or a soldering iron, PETG is the one to choose and we will say so in the quote.
- Fixtures wear. The file is yours, so a fresh one is a reprint rather than a new job.
Made to your drawing
Send the drawing and we print it.
A file and two sentences is a quotable enquiry. The quote comes back the same working day with the settings we intend to use, and an opinion about how the part will behave in the direction it is actually loaded.
