Two objects on a bench with a hand holding the printed bracket that now joins them.
VM-ONE-NEW
Custom 3D-printed part
Sometimes there is no original, only a gap between two objects and three dimensions.
The numbers
- What to send
- STEP, STL or 3MF, or a photograph with three dimensions written on it
- Materials
- PLA or PETG, chosen from how hot, how wet and how rigid it needs to be
- Quantity
- One, or a handful
- Quote
- Same working day, with the print settings we intend to use
- Comes back with
- Dimensions, mass, material, wall count, infill, layer height, orientation, nozzle and lead time
- Made to your size
- part size, 1 to 250 mm
- Ready in
- 2 to 9 days
Lead times run from a day for something small to a fortnight for a batch, and the quote names the setting before the print happens. Nothing here is a part we stock: it is your part, printed once the drawing is agreed.
Send a sketch with those three numbers on it and the model comes back drawn, ready to change before it is printed.
How it goes
A sketch with three dimensions is a real starting point. The drawing happens here, you approve it, and the file is yours afterwards.
What makes it work first time
- Photograph the gap with a ruler in the frame, from two angles.
- Say which direction it will be loaded. A printed part is strongest across a layer, and that decides which way it goes through the machine.
- Tell us if it has to look like the things either side of it; finish and orientation follow from that.
Made to your drawing
Send the drawing and we print it.
A file and two sentences is a quotable enquiry. The quote comes back the same working day with the settings we intend to use, and an opinion about how the part will behave in the direction it is actually loaded.
