VM-RUN-200
Small-batch 3D printing
The same part many times, nested and oriented for the quantity rather than for one.
The numbers
- What to send
- STEP, STL or 3MF, or a photograph with three dimensions written on it
- Materials
- PLA or PETG, chosen from how hot, how wet and how rigid it needs to be
- Quantity
- Twenty to two hundred, in one run or in scheduled batches
- Quote
- Same working day, with the print settings we intend to use
- Comes back with
- Dimensions, mass, material, wall count, infill, layer height, orientation, nozzle and lead time
- Made to your size
- part size, 1 to 250 mm
- Ready in
- 4 to 14 days
Lead times run from a day for something small to a fortnight for a batch, and the quote names the setting before the print happens. Nothing here is a part we stock: it is your part, printed once the drawing is agreed.
Every piece in the run carries the same settings, and the docket says what they were, so the next batch in a year matches this one.
How it goes
Quantity changes the orientation and the nesting on the plate, which is why a batch is quoted differently rather than multiplied.
What a run needs from you
- Say the real deadline in the first message; a fixed date changes what gets suggested.
- Name the feature that decides a reject, and that is what gets checked across the batch.
- Tell us if more will follow. The plate is arranged differently when a second run is expected.
Made to your drawing
Send the drawing and we print it.
A file and two sentences is a quotable enquiry. The quote comes back the same working day with the settings we intend to use, and an opinion about how the part will behave in the direction it is actually loaded.
